Insta-Boost: 5 Simple Ways to Elevate Your Instagram Game

Are you tired of scrolling through Instagram and seeing the same old posts from your followers? Are you looking to elevate your Instagram game and stand out from the crowd? Look no further! In this blog post, I'll share with you five simple but effective ways to give your Instagram profile a much-needed boost. With these tips, you'll be on your way to creating engaging content that will have your followers double-tapping and commenting in no time. So let's dive in!

1. Be consistent with posting

Post up to once a day, but no less than once a week, if you can. I know it can be a lot to post every day, and I personally don't think you need to! But you need to be posting regularly enough that your audience doesn’t forget about your brand, and so they know they can trust you to be consistent. In between posting to your feed, you can create a reel or video (which can also go on your feed) or post some Instagram stories. These are a great way to create fun and personal content while keeping your feed clean and professional.

You should also be consistent with the type of content you are putting out there so your audience knows what to expect from you. And you should have consistent branding (fonts, colors, etc.) throughout.

2. Show yourself and tell your story

While you should provide consistent content, you should also switch up every once in a while! Post pictures of yourself or your environment, people like to peek behind the scenes and see who is running the show. Post pictures of your products or graphics advertising your services. Add in inspirational quotes every once in a while. Post short videos to your feed as well as still graphics, or post your reels so they might get seen by more people. Make your feed an interesting place to explore and look back on.

3. Engage with your audience

Ask questions in your post, create a space for people to interact. Respond to comments. Especially when you are just starting out. Don't be too eager and respond seconds later, but get on periodically throughout the day and check your post. Pin useful and thoughtful comments so it’s the first comment people read when looking at your post. If you get any DMs, answer their questions, start a conversation, get to know your audience!

Don’t limit your engagement to your own posts. Like and comment on other people's posts. Social media is all about connecting with people and by following and interacting with similar content to your own, Instagram is learning what community you are a part of and who they should be showing your posts to.

4. Find the right hashtags

This can be intimidating, I know. The rules are constantly changing on what hashtags to use, how many you should use, or where you should put them. Currently, it is recommended to use more hashtags, rather than less. Try to use more than 10 if you can. Find specific hashtags. Start by searching hashtags with your brand keywords and look for hashtags that relate to your business that aren't too popular.

5. Have fun!

Have fun with it! It may be technically part of your job to have a business Instagram, but it doesn't have to feel like it. Plan ahead or schedule your posts, but don't get too strict. Again, leave room for variety and spontaneity. Interact with your customers like you're talking to your friends. Post about things that make you happy. Show your audience that you love what you do.
