Find Your Path: A Guide to Evaluating Your Life and Creating a Fulfilling Future
Have you been feeling like you’ve been running in circles for years without catching a break? Do you feel beat down, worn out? Is it time for a change? How do you even know if or what you should change? I am going to break it down for you in simple steps. Grab a pen and paper or open the notes app on your phone, you’ll be taking lots of notes for this project.
Where you’ve been:
Start by writing down any and all personality traits and facts about yourself that you can think of. Take a personality quiz if that helps, or use the prompts below as a starting point.
Introvert or extrovert?
What do you like?
What do you dislike?
What makes you happy?
What makes you stressed?
Where are you right now:
Now take note of where you are at in your life at this very second. Use the questions below as prompts, but feel free to elaborate.
TIME what do you do for work? Are you productive at work? Does what you do make you feel fulfilled? How much free time do you have? What do you do in your free time? Do these activities make you feel happy or allow you to relax?
MONEY How much are you making? How much are you spending? Are you spending on investments?
RELATIONSHIPS Are you in a relationship? How many friends do you have? Are you close with your family? Are they supportive? Do they make you happy? How often do you spend time with your s/o, friends, or family?
HEALTH Do you exercise? Are you drinking enough water? Are you eating your fruits and vegetables? Do you see a therapist? Do you make time for self-care?
Where are you going:
Now write down ideally where you want to be in 5-10 years.
What’s different? Are you making more money? Do you have a family? Have you moved?
Are there any changes you could be working on over the next few years? Could you ask for a raise? Could you find a new job? Do you want to move states? Do you want to lose weight?
Finally, make a list of any changes you could start right now. Can you exercise more? Do more of what makes you happy? Take some time off of work? Are there toxic people in your life that you should cut out or relationships you should mend?
