If you’re like me, you’re an artist of some kind, and you’re feeling stuck.

I’ve tried blogging for years, and it’s always been a little all over the place. Similarly, “what I want to do with my life” has been a bit all over the place.

I am sharing how to be an artist in a world that doesn’t really support art. I’m teaching you how to do your own thing instead of following the path that “everyone is supposed to take.” I’m helping you become a brand, start your own business, and market yourself as a creative individual.

I’ve spent my whole life knowing exactly what I want to do with my life and having no idea how to get there. I found that college wasn’t for me, I taught myself the adobe suite and I was already far ahead of anyone else in my beginner classes. I love learning but at my own pace and about the topics that I’m passionate about. Comes from being homeschooled, I suppose. But at the same time, I struggled (well still am) to find a job that would hire me without a degree.

I’ve been freelancing for over 10 years now, and along the way, I’ve learned a lot about business, branding, and marketing. It has changed the way I look at things. Now I’m sharing everything I’ve learned so someone like me (or you!) who is trying to forge their own path can learn from my mistakes and see from real-life experience that it can be done. You can do things your own way.

My Story

I’m an artist at heart, I always have been. It started with sketching doodles on my homework pages, to checking out “how to draw anime” books from the library.

Early in life, I discovered photography and it changed the game for me. I ran around my neighborhood taking photos. For my birthday one year, I asked for Adobe Photoshop Elements, to edit my photos. This would lead me to the world of graphic design. I started picking up any freelance job I could find, whether photography or design. And I loved it. Since then, it’s been all I want to spend my life doing.

I love working with a variety of clients, digging into their branding, and creating a marketing plan that makes life easier for them. My empathetic nature helps me get into the mind of my clients and really understand them. My easy-going personality helps people feel comfortable enough to open up with me. I get to really learn about each person and help them figure out how they can use their strengths in their coaching business, just like I am doing myself.

Knowing who you are is the key! Figuring out who I really am turned my business around and now I feel fulfilled from my work, and I get to do what I am passionate about every day. I am turning into a branding nerd.
